International Harm Reduction Association Conference 2010
Harm Reduction 2010: IHRA’s 21st International Conference

Quote:Over five days, this conference will be the main meeting point for all those interested in harm reduction, and an invaluable platform for advocacy, debate, and discussion. For nearly two decades, these events have been the key forum for the dissemination of harm reduction ideas and practice, and have helped to put harm reduction on the map.

Here are some of the bits that are directly relevant to us:

It's a great opportunity for someone to meet Chris Snowdon, Dr Carl and Dr Payne too. Come on folks, don't be shy, who can be the voice of vapers ... 26th - 29th April?

I'm pretty sure we (vapers/the vaping community) could raise the costs for a delegate if someone has the time and can be in the Liverpool area for this event. It would be great to have someone there to represent us and to get some ideas about the issues we're facing.

I'm trying to find out also if anyone in the States has made contact with Ernie Drucker yet.

I'm working out how to open an account to accept donations from anyone who wants to help sponsor delegates. Once the account is sorted I'll start an appeal.

A few people have now said they can spare the time to attend so it's a matter of covering costs and finding accommodation now.

RE: International Harm Reduction Association Conference 2010
Quote:For 2010 (as in previous years), the exhibition area will be located in the conference venue in the same room where the meals and refreshments are served to delegates. This ensures a lot of ‘traffic’ through these areas. As such, the conference is an excellent opportunity to promote your organisation and its services and products in a highly interactive atmosphere.

The available opportunities for Harm Reduction 2010 include:

* Exhibition stands (with a range of sizes available)
* Sponsoring an artist’s area and market place
* Sponsoring the ‘Daily Update’ newsletters

* Placing advertisements in the ‘Daily Update’ newsletters

* Inserts in the delegate bags
* Sponsoring sessions in the conference programme
* Sponsoring the conference reception and/or the conference party
