SmokelessMolens Spices???
Has anyone tried any of the Molens Spices that are available directly from the website?? Are these spices used in baking or for scenting snuff? I don't know if there exists such a separate category for spices. I am familiar with snus flavorings that you would not necessarily use in cooking but rather to flavor snus, particularly Snus X products. But anyway, I would appreciate any insight on these spices, definitely interested in the 'ground by windpower cinnamon.' :)

Second Snuff Order
hello everyone. I'm really enjoying the site and I'm really enjoying my Toque order. I'm thinking I'd like to try some other brands and WoS seems like another solid range.
i'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. Early impressions from my toque order: Natural: great for learning what plain tobacco is about, I think i'd like some more plain snuffs, but I'd like them to be really unique. Original: really enjoying it, though I think I like the Gem more SP Gem: a great subtle but complex snuff. I definitely will reorder. Cherry Menthol: I didn't thinkI liked it at first but last night I started to get in to it. Cherry: not really liking it. Lime Toast: blows my head off, I really like this and would like a similar offering from another producer in intensity. So after looking around at the WoS range i think I'll try: BEst SP Crumbs of Comfort HDT 22 Jasmine (maybe) Grand Cairo Tom Buck Best Dark thoughts?

Antique Snuffbox- "Will You Take A Pinch?"
Found this snuffbox on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Antique-Laquered-Snuff-box-Worded-you-take-Pinch-/200513009580?pt=UK_Collectables_Tobacciana_Smoking_LE&hash=item2eaf81b7ac This is definitely one of the cooler snuffboxes I have seen. I know I saw one on ebay a bit ago that was in better condition, but I didn't order it. Does anyone know about any others of these? Perhaps where else to buy one? I really want it, but I just don't have spare money lying around until pay day...and the bidding ends at noon tomorrow. :\ Plus, I would like to see what one in better condition goes for. Thanks ~Ken

Humidor Crystals
Hi I have just purchased some NORMAL SIZE Humidor Acrylpolymer Humidifier Crystals from ebay to use when hydrating my homemade snuff, and to rehydrate any snus/snuff that have dried out a little. They cost around £4 GBP including postage.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350382762381&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Will I be ok to use freshly boiled water as I don't have easy access to distilled water? If not I would have a look round but if I could avoid it I would do. Anyone else used these before? I'm kind of winging it :) Regards Steve

Xichang Herbal - Review
I have a favor...if anybody has tried Xichang Herbal and you feel like giving a review I would appreciate it. I don't have one on the site and a gorgeous bottle like that sure LOOKS like it has something good in it. You can post a review right on the site here: REVIEW XICHANG, or if you prefer email me or post it on snuffhouse.
Many thanks, Dave

Vetiver Snuff?
I'm brand new to this hobby, so I don't know the genres yet, other than by reading a quick overview. I just know that I'm very excited to try some flavors, for instance McChrystal's Clove, since I love the smell of cloves.
I also love the smell of vetiver -- its raw, moist earthiness. It's a common element in perfume (not that I'm into perfume (not that there's anything wrong with that)), and I was just wondering if there's a snuff containing this particular scent. I'd be surprised to get a response in the affirmative, but one can hope...

Any recommendations for scales?
I've been eyeballing my blending and want to come up with exact recipes. Does anyone have a recommendation for a economical digital scale that will do the job accurately? I was looking at another O'haus triple beam, have owned a couple of them years ago, but they start at $90 and there seems to be a bevy of digital models starting at around $30. The scale definitely needs to be fairly accurate and able to measure down to a tenth of a gram. I need some hands on experience. Thanks,

Snuffbox exchange
Hi I recently bought this snuff box from snuffstore.co.uk (Cocoba wood, german made) and after a while with it I would prefer to have a snuff box that I could take a pinch from. Nothing wrong with the box, just prefer a pinch. Does anyone here want to exchange a snuff box with me that I could pinch from? Don't want to feel that I wasted my money on a box I'm not going to use, and it is a beautiful bit of kit and I can't run to another snuff box at the min :)

Less is more
When I tried to stop smoking using just snuff I was doing well although I did find that my tolerance to it rose quickly, losing that refreshing lift that I got when I first started snuffing. Now I use snus to satisfy my nicotine cravings, I find that the less I snuff the better it is. Anyone else here factor in a snuff break to break a bit of the tolerance that you have developed. I have to use a degree of restraint as it would be easy to do all the time again, but definitely feel that I get much more out of snuff now.

A "Degustation" for neophytes
Tonight (6 hours for now), I'll be introducing a few of my friends to the joys of snuff tobacco, in a sort of "guided degustation" like the ones you do for wines etc. I'd like to give them the chance of appreciating every sample (allowing for differences in taste), so I need to introduce the different kinds of snuff in steps, so as to have the strongest sorts towards the end etc. For this reason, I was thinking of maybe starting with some Toque's fruit, before progressing to some menthol snuffs and eventually to the few toasts and scented sorts I have. What do you think of my plan?
All suggestions are welcome, of course - here's the list of snuffs I could take with me (we'll meet at a pub), if someone would like to suggest a specific introductory progression: Toque Apricot Berwick Brown Blueberry Cherry Chocolate Grapefruit Lavender Lime Toast Menthol Original Peach Peppermint Pomegranate Raspberry Rose SP Extra St. Clements Toast & Marmalade Vanilla Violet Whisky & Honey Poeschl Ozona Ozona President Gawith Apricot Gawith Cola Packard Alpina Radford Ozona Raspberry Ozona Orange Andechs Spezial Gletscher Prise Schmalzler A Other McChrystal Stammheimer Hopfenschnupf McChrystal Mild Lemon Fribourg & Treyer Princes Special Fribourg & Treyer Seville Fribourg & Treyer Bordeaux Fribourg & Treyer Morlaix Wilsons Camphor & Mild Wilsons Cinnamon Wilsons Grand Cairo Wilsons Lemon Grove Wilsons Peach Melba Wilsons Rum & Blackberry Dholakia Ganga Several non-tobacco Thanks in advance!

Posting snuff to USA
Hi I went to the post office today to send off my snuff trade to the USA, and was asked what I was sending to fill in the customs declaration. When I said snuff, it took the post office ten minutes to decide if they would send it. Eventually they said that it was "probably" ok, but you would of thought I was sending anthrax or something!
Just to clear things up, are we still ok sending snuff to the USA? Anyone else experienced this or did I have an over zealous post office worker?

Bernard Flasks
Searched and couldn't find this mentioned. I notice Bernard flasks come with snuff names on them. Are they filled with that snuff?

Toque question.
I have been using snuff for about seven months now and have had a variety of different types from F&T, WE Garrett, Poschl, WS, J&H, McCrystals and Toque. I have realized of all the snuff's I have tried so far, Toque is the only one that makes me cough everytime I use it. Doesn't matter what type of Toque, I still cough. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I have tried differnt snuff taking techniques but nothing has worked, so I thought maybe somebody with some snuff wisdom could help a fellow snuff-taker out.

Lorillard snuff company
I found this old document in my web travels--interesting history of a U.S. snuff company and on the history of tobacco in the U.S. generally.
